Asin Thottumkal Biography;
Thottumkal Asin was born 26th October, 1979 in Kochi, Kerala Syrian Christian family.Her father Josef Tottumkal an entrepreneur who is now her manager. Her mother is Thottumkal Seline, a surgeon by profession.
Asin studied at the Naval Public School and Higher Secondary School St. Theresa's.She took her education with a degree in English literature from St. Theresa's College.
She supported her father in his business, which was different from software exports.She also modeled and appeared in advertisements for Colgate toothpaste and Fairever Cream.

From 2001 to 2003
Asin says the cameras when she was fifteen in the Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001). Her 2003 Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammay Shivamani and won her Filmfare Best Telugu Actor Award, Santosham Best Actress Award, respectively.
From 2004 to 2006
She stayed in Telugu as Lakshmi Narasimha hits and Gharshana work in 2004. She went back to a hit in the Tamil film M Kumaran Sun Mahalakshmi deliver. While Chakram failed Ullam Ketkumae was Sivakashi and Majaa hits in 2005. The Tamil film Ghajini, also released in 2005 was a blockbuster and won her Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award. Her two films in 2006 Varalaru, a Tamil film Annavaram, a Telugu film was a success.
From 2007 to 2009
In 2007, Asin scored two of the three when Pokiri and Well were doing well, while sullen underperformance. Kamal Hassan's Dasavatharam extravaganza in 2008 was again a hit with Asin playing Kothai Radha and Andale. That same year she made her debut in Bollywood with the Hindi version of Ghajini starring Aamir Khan. Vipul Shah's London Dreams, published in 2009, has told her as the lead with actors Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.
