Mamta Mohandas Biography;
Mamta Mohandas was born in Bahrain on 14th November 1985. Her school was the Indian School, Bahrain and later graduated from Mount Caramel, Bangalore. She trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music. Mamta has tried her hand at modeling for a while. She walked the ramp for the Mysore Maharajah and Raymond. She has also done some print ads for IBM and Kalyan Kendra.
Mamta owner of a Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle as she loves speed and racing on public roads.
She ended up in some controversy when she was linked to her co-star Suresh Gopi in Lanka.
CAREER
Mamta Mohandas began working with Hariharan's Mayookham Malyalam film in 2005. This film was a flop, but Mamta was noticed by all because of the character she played, and then appeared in a supporting role in bus conductor.
She acted in Madhuchandralekha, and Adhbutam Lanka. She did a Tamil film opposite Vishal Reddy Sivapathigaram.
Her singing debut was in the movie Rakhee, and she received the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer (2007) in Telugu. In industry, Kollywood, she sang the title song for Kaalai. She had a supporting role in Yamadonga directed by SS Rajamouli, who proved a big hit. She also sang a few songs for this film.
Krishnar, Juna Victory and Homam Kathanayakudu were some of the movie where she played a leading role. Her last film was the King, where she worked and sang the title song. She received praise for both her singing and acting in this film.
In 2009 she appeared in films such as passenger Malayalam Angel John and Musafir.
