Celina Jaitley was born on 9th June, 1981 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her father was in the Indian Army, while her mother was a child psychologist and a beauty queen though. Her brother followed their father's lead and joined the Indian army.
Celina completed her degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University in Commerce. She worked in marketing on a mobile phone company in Kolkata. She participated in a local beauty contest and won it on impulse, motivate her to sign up for the Miss India contest. It was a smart move if they won the crown and fourth from the top at the Miss Universe contest. She won the MTV Most Wanted castle around this time.
